Kate Nash Leads Over 30 New Acts Announced For Liverpool's Sound City 2026

Further acts have been announced for this year's Sound City in Liverpool.

Among over 30 new names joining the musical line-up are Kate Nash (pictured), Courting, Marina Josephina, Michael Aldag, Permanent (Joy), Martha May and The Mondays, The New Cut, Acolyte, CUSP, Wrkhouse, Mercy Girl, The Rosettis, Loose Content, Garage Flower, The Solaas and more you can check out below.

Foundations hitmaker Nash joins as the Sunday afternoon headliner and will also serve as the keynote speaker at the Sound City+ Conference, where she will also take part in a special in-person Q&A. Sound City's Managing Director, Becky Ayres said: 

"We are thrilled to have Kate join us at Sound City, as one of the UK’s era-defining artists as well as someone who leads from the front on issues of gender equality, diversity and making careers in music sustainable, addressing injustice at every stage of her incredible career. Being discovered at the start of a digitised music era, signing a major label deal, enjoying chart success, pursuing a successful acting career in ‘Glow’ and continuing to write, record and perform, she is an inspiration.

"Her set at Sound City will be unmissable for the songs and to witness an iconic British, female artist at the height of her powers."

Acts previously announced for the bill include Westside Cowboy, Brooke Coombe, Cherryholt, Blossom Caldarone, Will Parker, Et-al, Keyside, The Lilacs, The Molotovs, MT Jones, ashnymph, Finn Forster, Lynnie Snow, Jack Devlin, SLAG, Saint Clair and Teenage Joans.

Leading the line-up are two previously confirmed Sound City small stage artists, Keo and Jalen Ngonda, who will headline the 3,500-capacity St. George's Hall on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

The Merseyside multi-venue festival will return to the heart of Liverpool on May 2 and 3, with the Sound City+ Conference set to take place on May 1.

What? A three-day, multi-venue, inner-city festival boasting a diverse line-up from alternative hip hop to indie and dream-pop, dedicated to new and emerging musical talent.

Where? Various venues and outdoor stages in Liverpool city centre.

When? May 1 - 3, 2026.

Who? London four-piece Keo will headline the main stage at the 3,500-capacity St. George's Hall on the Saturday (May 2), with Sunday headliner Jalen Ngonda taking the stage on Sunday (May 3). Kate Nash will headline on Sunday afternoon and speak in an in-person Q&A at the Sound City+ Conference on Friday (May 1). 

New additions to the bill include Charlie Noordeweir, Dovegate, The Lags, The Way Off , The Kasms, The Days, Korova, Michael Aldag, Marina Josephina, SSJ, Wrkhouse, Mercy Girl, Martha May & The Mondays, Acolyte, CUSP, Cowboy Hunters, James Emmanuel, The New Cut, Courting, Permanent(Joy), The Rosettis, Bones, Green's Dining Room, The Catalouge, Danny Griffiths, Jasper Hodges, Loose Content, East Exchange, The Solaas, Fool Nelson, The Sick Fix, Garage Flower and Michael Robert Murphy.

Acts previously confirmed for the line-up include Westside Cowboy, Brooke Coombe, Cherryholt, Blossom Caldarone, Will Parker, Et-al, Keyside, The Lilacs, The Molotovs, MT Jones, ashnymph, Finn Forster, Lynnie Snow, Jack Devlin, SLAG, Saint Clair and Teenage Joans.

Many acts are still to be announced.

The Sound City+ Conference programming will feature important voices from industry partners, plus influential professionals from live and recorded music, digital marketing, management, industry campaigns and more. 

In addition to Nash, other speakers confirmed so far include The K’s frontman Jamie Boyle, who will appear as part of the BPI x Bowers & Wilkins Insight Sessions, Becky Ayres (Sound City) Conrad Murray (SJM), Alfie Skelly (Modern Sky), Mark Orr (LAB Records), David Cameron-Pryde (LAMA Management), Lisa Meyer (Capsule) and Alyx Holcombe (BBC Introducing).
